Hamilton, Bermuda (July 20, 2021) – Argus Group Holdings Limited (the “Group”, “Company”, or “Argus Group”) today announced that its Donations Committee in Bermuda has distributed $170,000 to more than 17 Bermuda-registered charities for the Company’s 2022 fiscal year.

The financial grants, which fund non-profit activity between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022, are the result of a three-month vetting process undertaken by Chair Joel Schaefer and a seven-member committee made up of Argus employees.

“Argus has a steadfast commitment to the wellbeing of the communities in which it does business. While it isn’t feasible to fund every application we receive, we are delighted to support more than 17 non-profits that are making a meaningful impact in our community,” said Mr. Schaefer.

The organisations receiving funds include:

Action on Alzheimer’s & Dementia

The Adult Education School

Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre

Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation

Bermuda Sloop Foundation

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda

The Duke of Edinburgh Bermuda

The Eliza Dolittle Society

The Family Centre

Friends of Hospice

Knowledge Quest

Open Airways

P.A.L.S.

The PHC Foundation

Teen Haven

Word of Life Bermuda

The Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative of Bermuda

“There are many dedicated organisations providing critical programmes and services in Bermuda, and the importance of their work has been thrown into stark relief by the global pandemic,” Mr. Schaefer added.

“Each successful organisation has received between $5,000 and $25,000 for programmes that fall into the four categories that represent our committee’s focus: Seniors, Youth and Sport, Education, and Health and Wellness.”

He also noted that the next application process will begin in January 2022 to fund programmes during the 2023 fiscal year.
