Argus Wealth Management (“AWM”) is seeking a dynamic individual to join its team. The Wealth Manager will primarily focus on maintaining and developing strong relationships with AWM’s private clients and support Pension relationships (Sponsors, Members and Prism Wealth). The secondary focus is to support the investment management and administration function.

Core responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain a portfolio of investment and Pension clients to high service standards based on customers’ needs
  • Build and maintain solid, long-standing relationships with AWM clients, Pension Members and Prism Wealth clients, being cognizant of the impact of behavioural finance
  • Provide input into new business growth opportunities
  • Support financial/educational workshops using all available technologies and resources
  • Assist clients with investment queries and provide advice on selecting an appropriate investment strategy and financial planning
  • Assist in all aspects of client retention and servicing, including preparation of presentation and meeting materials
  • Ensure AWM remains current with customer Know Your Client (KYC) requirements
  • Assist with daily client administration including the submission of security trade orders, forex, wire payments and cash management activities
  • Constantly seek ways to improve the overall delivery of client servicing
  • Perform other duties and work overtime as required

Qualifications and experience required:

  • University degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field
  • Relevant professional investment designation such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of seven years’ relevant work experience in investment or financial services
  • Understanding of the financial markets, investment products and wealth management with a desire to learn more
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and to maintain high levels of customer service while engaging a high level of discretion
  • Strong administrative skills and detail orientated
  • >Strong organizational skills with the ability to organise large projects and see them through to completion, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, CRM) and ability to learn Bloomberg
  • Proven track record of providing innovative ideas for achieving business goals
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and propose solutions to mitigate any business risks
  • Ability to work independently and with others, usually in small teams to meet demanding deadlines
