At Argus, we are proud to have provided support to the Bermuda community for over 70 years. As a part of our continued commitment, we launched The Sheila Nicoll Argus Award, a scholarship valued at $15,000 a year for up to three years.
Congratulations to Vincent Darrell, winner of the Sheila Nicoll Argus Award 2022
Vincent Darrell graduated from the Saltus Grammar School as Head Prefect and Darrell House Sports Captain. The 18-year-old will study Business Management with Marketing at Solent University in the UK in September.
Debating since the age of six, he is an accomplished orator, was a member of Bermuda Youth Parliament and represented Saltus’ debate team locally and internationally. Passionate about performing arts, he won the 2021 Alpha Beautillion, and credits theatre as an essential factor in allowing him to be outspoken and to advocate for what he believes in. In 2021, he launched his own clothing brand, Pressure ‘Til We Perish, which he pitched during the Bermuda Economic Development’s Youth Rocket Pitch competition, placing second.
Upon graduation from high school, Vincent received the Ernst & Young Values Award and the Saltus Michelle Outerbridge Award for Debate.
